Editing Technicians
Each form section and the entry fields available while adding, viewing, or editing technician records (see Browsing Technicians) are discussed in the following table.
Technicians - Technician Tab
The Technician tab is for entry of the technician and their reimbursement structure.

Technician Initials |
Enter initials or an abbreviation for the technician, up to 15 characters. This field may not be left empty. |

Technician Full Name |
Enter this technician's full name, up to 30 characters. |

Enter the e-mail address for this technician, up to 200 characters. This field is available only for licensed users of version 3.1 and higher. |

Payment Method |
Select whether this technician receives payment based on percentage commissions, flat rate commissions, an hourly pay rate, or a combination of the above. The Flat Rate Commission Only and Hourly Rate Only payment methods are available only for licensed users of version 2.3 and higher, and the All Methods Combined payment method is available only for licensed users of version 2.4 and higher. |

Parts Commission |
Enter the commission rate in percentage that this technician is normally paid based on the total parts charges for the servicing or repair. |

Labour Commission |
Enter the commission rate in percentage that this technician is normally paid based on the total labour charges for the servicing or repair. |
|
Flat Rate |
Enter the monetary flat rate that this technician is normally paid for each servicing or repair. |
|
Hourly Rate |
Enter the monetary hourly pay rate that this technician is normally paid for each hour of labour. |

Update existing Repair Order records |
Check this box to update existing repair order records with changes that were made to a technician already assigned to those records. This field will be available only after a change has been made to an existing technician. |
Technicians - Statistics Tab
The Statistics tab provides an instant snapshot of recent and long-term repair activity by this technician. All statistics are broken into total, month-to-date, year-to-date, last-year, and year-before-last windows.

Repair Orders Pending |
The number of repair orders assigned to this technician that are still awaiting estimating or repair or for which the servicing or repair is ongoing. |

Repair Orders Repaired |
The number of items assigned to this technician for which the servicing or repair has been completed. |

Repair Orders Refused |
The number of items assigned to this technician where the estimate was refused, either by the customer or by the repair technician. |
